Bare Architects is a small, architect practice in South West Australia which has developed an in-depth understanding of designing buildings in the bush, and along the coast of WA. The practice fuses landscape and building design, creating homes that are wholly connected to their place.
At Bare Architects, we believe the act of engaging an architect, is inherently sustainable. Because investing in an architect, is investing in the process of design; the analysis, interrogation and exploration of what a site deserves, and the inhabitant really needs.
The practice is led by Matilda Brealey, from a home office in a little town called Carbunup River. Matilda has resided in the South West since 2014, and is a registered architect, a creative, novice surfer, bush walker, and mother.
