Skél is a design studio and workshop in Claremont, focused on the design and manufacture of minimalist timber furniture and other useful objects. All timber is hand selected by skilled craftsmen and each piece of furniture is made in-house in Claremont.
Skél provides a collection of furniture products, designed in-house and made to order. These products range from tables, seating, bedroom, cabinets and more.
In addition, Skél takes on a select number of quality custom projects throughout the year working with design professionals or directly with clients to bring ambitious ideas into fruition.
A mixture of traditional and modern joinery techniques are used to ensure that furniture is built with precision to last for several decades into the future. Good design balances the elements of beauty, simplicity and utility and this ethos goes to the heart of modernist design and the soul of each piece created by Skél.
